A new spin on some old classic cocktails for spring wedding season

This last year in 2024, the surprise hit of the season was the “Old Fashion” Cocktail. This year, as the flowers bloom and the sun shines brighter in the Greater Seattle area (always a nice change), spring is the perfect season to revive timeless wedding cocktails. This year, why not serve up a twist on the classics? We’re shaking things up with fresh takes on the Tom Collins, Manhattan, and Vodka Gimlet that are sure to delight your guests.


1. Tom Collins Cocktail
Twist on the Tom Collins, by adding lavendar!
The Tom Collins is a timeless gin-based cocktail that’s refreshing, citrusy,
and perfect for warm weather.
Taste:

  • Crisp, citrusy flavor from the lemon juice
  • Subtle sweetness from the simple syrup
  • Botanical notes from the gin
  • Refreshing fizz from the soda water

This cocktail can be modified a number of ways, and can also be prepared as a Mocktail, by asking your RFR Bar Manager for details

2. Manhattan Cocktail

Smoked Cherry Manhattan
The Manhattan is a classic cocktail that’s rich, complex,
and full of character.

Taste:

  • Rich, warm flavor from the whiskey
  • Sweet, velvety texture from the sweet vermouth
  • Complex, spicy, and herbal notes from the bitters
  • Fruity, slightly sweet flavor from the cherry garnish

3. Vodka Gimlet

Cucumber Vodka Gimlet
The Vodka Gimlet is a classic cocktail that’s crisp, refreshing,
and simple yet elegant.

Taste:

  • Smooth, neutral flavor from the vodka
  • Touch of sweetness from the simple syrup (if used)
  • Refreshing, zesty, and invigorating
